Comic Con 2103 Baltimore

The 14th Annual show will be taking place at the Baltimore Convention Center the weekend of September 7-8, 2012. One of the best things about Baltimore Comic-Con is that it’s a much smaller show than the ones in California and New York City so you can get better interaction with your favorite comic-creators.  For this year’s show, Stan Lee will be making appearances both days, signing autographs and posing for photographs with fans in attendance of the show.He is known the world over as the architect of the Marvel Universe and the Father of Modern Comics. We are looking forward to see great figures from the comic industry, the Harvey Awards, industry exclusives, and programming.  Convention hours are Saturday 10 AM to 6 PM and Sunday 10 AM to 5 PM. The ceremony and banquet for the Harvey Awards will  be held Saturday night, September 7th. Below are some images of the Baltimore Comic Con 2102 :

Marilyn Monroe costumes

Marilyn Monroe, an American model turned actress, was famous for her seductive blonde persona on and off camera from the late 1940s to the early 1960s. Monroe appeared in a number of popular movies, but is best remembered as an international sex symbol who died unexpectedly and mysteriously at age 36. Most people that have come into contact with Marilyn Monroe, either directly or indirectly muse over what made her stand out above the other beauties of Hollywood and the world, what was it that has raised Marilyn Monroe to Iconic Goddess status? Even people that knew her well searched for the answer – the photographer Bert Stern, who photographed her over two sessions, which became known as ‘The Last Sitting” in 1962, stated: “My eye roved her face, searching. I couldn’t find the secret of her beauty in any one feature. She didn’t have a great nose like Liz Taylor, or perfect lips like Brigitte Bardot. She didn’t have gorgeous almond-shaped eyes like Sophia Loren. And yet s

Steampunk Costumes

Steampunk is a subgenre of speculative fiction, usually set in an anachronistic Victorian or quasi-Victorian alternate history setting. Fiction in the steampunk genre is set in the past, or a world resembling the past, in which modern technological developments occurred earlier in history, but were accomplished via the technology already present in that time period. The genre typically falls into the realm of science fiction. There are two main sub-genres of steampunk: historical steampunk and fantasy steampunk.. Historical steampunk : In general, the category includes any pre-electricity science fiction work with an emphasis on steam- or spring-propelled gadgets. This also includes many alternate history stories in the genre. The most common historical steampunk settings are the Victorian and Edwardian eras, though some in this "Victorian steampunk" category can go as early as the Industrial Revolution.

Grease musical costumes

Grease is a musical play and film made in The Seventies about The Fifties. Danny Zuko is back in Rydell High School for senior year. He's a bad boy who wears a leather jacket and hangs out with others who do the same. He tells his friends, the T-Birds (or the Burger Palace Boys, if you're going by the play), about the great summer vacation he had at the beach with this girl Sandy. Sandy has just transferred to Rydell High and is trying to make friends, which happen to include the Pink Ladies. She is The Ingenue, and she is also a senior. She tells her side of the story at the same time. Then the other girls realize the fella she was with was Danny Zuko, and they take her to meet him. At that moment, he is more interested in maintaining his image than acting like the sensitive guy Sandy remembered, and she leaves broken-hearted. Whatever its shortcomings, Grease evens the field with its music: Kids and adults alike still love it, and love to sing along. And who

Flintstones Costumes

Every prime-time animated television series traces its lineage back to The Flintstones, the first show to disprove the notion that cartoons are suited only for children. From 1960 to 1966, the comical adventures of the stone-age Flintstone family unfolded weekly on ABC. Essentially a pre-historic version of The Honeymooners, the program revolved around Fred Flintstone, an irascible blowhard (voice of Alan Reed), his pliant pal Barney Rubble (voice of Mel Blanc), and their long-suffering spouses. Cartoon veterans William Hanna and Joseph Barbera produced the cheaply-animated half hour. A live action movie version, starring John Goodman as Fred, was produced in 1994, but was not as popular with audiences as the original cartoon . Fred Flintstones Fred Flintstone was the main character of the animated series The Flintstones, which aired in prime time on the ABC network from 1960-1966. Fred is stockily built with brown hair and is almost always drawn with a five o'clo
